Division Ages Information
T-Ball 4 to 6 year olds

"Guided by Little League's Tee Ball Program, this program is for beginner players and most players are ready to move up to Division A after one season of Tee Ball. Target team sizes are 7-8 players to provide more personal attention during practices and more reps during games. Starting after the LWSD Spring Break, there will be two one-hour "sessions" each week- practice on Wednesday evening and game on Sunday afternoon. Players learn to hit safety baseballs off of a batting tee. There is no "coach pitch" in Tee Ball. During games, all players will bat each inning and play in the field. KNLL does not use catchers in Tee Ball.

A 5* to 8 year olds Designed for second and third year developing players; this division is coach pitch only, using Level 5 Safety Balls and USA approved bats. The season will typically include 2-3 practices/games per week beginning in March. All players bat and up to 10 players are allowed on the field/inning. Teams are typically organized by school but may be split for parity and/or to optimize team sizes.
AA 7 to 9 year olds This is the entry level kid pitch division using standard baseballs (hard balls). Pitchers pitch from a distance of 46' with no walks - after the 4th ball, the coach comes in to finish pitching to the batter. The goal is to develop pitchers and to allow boys time to adjust to kid pitch. Teams are typically organized by school but may be split for parity and/or to optimize team sizes.
AAA 9 to 11 year olds AAA is the stepping stone to Majors baseball. Pitchers pitch from 46'. Players must attend at least one Player Evaluation and are drafted onto teams for parity.
Majors 10 to 12 year olds Majors is competitive baseball. Pitchers pitch from 46'. Players must attend at least one Player Evaluation and are drafted onto teams for parity.
Juniors 13 to 14 year olds Juniors baseball is competitive baseball for 13 and 14 year olds.

*Required to have one year of T-ball as per Little League Official Regulations
