Softball Evals are Saturday, February 8th
Location:
FM Sports
9117 151st Ave NE
Redmond, WA 98052
Schedule:
Player time slots are divided by levels of play AND last name
Times:
Arrive at time specified for league level AND first letter of last name
MAJORS
8:30 a.m. – Last name A-F
8:45 a.m. – Last name G-O
9:00 a.m. – Last name P-Z
COAST
9:15 a.m. – Last name A-F
9:30 a.m. – Last name G-O
9:45 a.m. – Last name P-Z
9 Year Olds (2015 Birth Year) considering moving up to COAST
10:00 a.m. – Last name A-Z
What to Wear and Bring:
--Softball Glove
--Softball Pants and/or Athletic Pants (e.g., sweats)
--Tennis Shoes or Turf Shoes – facility is indoors with field turf (no cleats)
--Batting Gloves, if desired
--Batting Helmet and Bat - if player has their own.
--If your player does not have their own bat or helmet, KNLL can issue a loaner at
evaluations.
What to Expect at the Evaluations:
--Players check-in by providing name and jersey size
--Parents will be asked to wait in specified area
--Each player receives a ball with a number to take with them through evaluation stations
--Players take personal gear with them to each station
--Rotate through each remaining station (Warm-Up Arms, Fielding Ground Balls/Fly Balls,
Pitching, and Hitting)
--Player exits with gear
--Target time for each player = approximately 15 minutes but pitcher evaluations may take
a bit longer
--We will not be evaluating catchers but if your daughter would like to get some catching
practice in, feel free to bring your gear and catch for pitching evaluations. Just let us
know by emailing

For Parents:
--Please assist player with check-in (if needed) then wait upstairs in the parent lounge.
--The players may be under a great deal of self-imposed pressure to perform – Please do
not add to it! This is not a try-out to make a team. We evaluate players to build evenly
skilled teams.
--Please do not coach or interfere with evaluations in any way.
--Please help us maintain a safe environment by waiting in specified aera, including any
other children not participating in the evaluations.
