KNLL Code of Conduct

In 2024, Kirkland National Little League is investing in player skill development, equipment, expanding our corps of Umpires, and more. We are also taking practical steps to improve the overall culture of the league. This includes more enforcement of the obligatory Parent Code of Conduct which applies to all parents, care-givers, and spectators. KNLL has also adopted the national Little League organization’s Child Protection Program and has a Zero Tolerance Policy of all forms of abuse.

SUMMARY POINTS FOR FANS

  • Be a positive role model – kids are watching and learning from you!
  • Encourage sportsmanship.
  • Always treat participants and spectators with dignity.
  • Respect the role and authority of managers/coaches, umpires and league officials.
  • Remember that KNLL is a 100% volunteer organization.
  • KNLL has a Zero Tolerance Policy of all forms of abuse – fans who are not honoring the Code of Conduct will be asked to remove themselves from the game.

THINGS TO REMEMBER

  • Little League is about teaching life lessons that build strong individuals and communities.
  • No one is getting a scholarship or contract to play ball based on their performance in Little League.
  • Please stay in your lane:
    • Players… play.
    • Coaches… coach.
    • Umpires… umpire.
    • Parents/Fans… be a role model.
Release the players to the experience of the game while modeling poise, confidence, and focus on the team from the sidelines.
